A Devotional

Today, February 16, 2023, I accomplished a goal that I have had since I was a preteen. Thanks to the love of Apollon, the support of my family, and the insistence of my friends and Treasury Sisters, I’ve become a published author.

This work is done in dedication to Apollon, and celebrates Him in all those ways that make me the person I am today. I am supremely humbled by the affection shown to me, and by the beauty that I have witnessed as a part of His retinue. This is a great and wondrous milestone in my life, and I am so happy to share it here with you, dear readers.

Thank you all for being a part if this, because truly, I wouldn’t have done this without you. This devotional is the culmination of a decade of writings done to honor, and educate about Apollon, much of which would not have been manifest without the curiosity, and interest shown to me over these years, by you, my dearest readers.

You may be tempted to make brash actions, or quick decisions in a matter of high importance at this time, but be warned– acting without taking the correct considerations may lead not to the conclusion that you would prefer, but instead to one that is entirely out of your hands. Sometimes we find ourselves pushed in ways and directions that are anathema to our own ways of doing things. Sometimes we are backed into corners purposefully, and with malicious intent. That is why we must always try to be aware of all that hinges upon our decisions. We will never be the only ones affected, so it is imperative that we decide, always in good faith, and with respect to the responsibilities of our positions. And there will be times when there is little we can do but endure; to save the most of what we’ve worked to achieve, sometimes it is better to let the poison run its course. It will be exposed before the end, and we will be made stronger in its wake. Afterward, all that should be done is to remain as we have always been, and to watch as the perpetrator of harm is relinquished of authority, and made low in the eyes of those they sought to manipulate.

Quiet are the Keepers

“Quiet are the keepers of the halls of the Gods; they do not speak the intonations. Theirs are the open ears, listening to the cries and the bleating of the masses.

“These who take the weft and worn into themselves, who transmute the incendiary sorrows, who hold within trembling hands the pulsing hopes of all who may yet control their own voices– not the voiceless– for you all possess the means to speak power into creation– only the will is lacking.

“Allow these harbingers of the mounting tide to carve and fold the words into the next way, that the future be granted its entrance through passion and wailing, and the rending of the futile and the corrupt.

“Once, I told you to find the others. They have been found, and now you must let their fate take shape, and make way for your own transformation.”
